13 Affordable Housing Apartments

Florix Floor Covering completed the flooring package for the Wilson Ave Affordable Housing Development in Brunswick, Victoria, consisting of 13 residential apartments and associated common areas.

The works included floor preparation prior to installation, with subfloor checking, minor grinding, smoothing and levelling where required to create a suitable surface for the finished flooring.

A combination of 5mm Vinyl Plank Flooring and Godfrey Hirst Bayside SDN Carpet was installed throughout the apartments. Vinyl plank flooring was used in living areas, kitchens, hallways and common traffic areas, providing a durable, low-maintenance and modern flooring solution.

Bedrooms were completed with Godfrey Hirst Bayside SDN Carpet, selected for comfort, acoustic performance and durability in everyday residential use.

Common areas were also completed with vinyl flooring, helping create a clean, practical and hard-wearing finish suitable for high-traffic shared spaces.

The project required careful coordination with the builder, site access, material delivery, apartment sequencing and final detailing to ensure a consistent finish across all units.
